Frozen Baby Pops

Teething is in full force and my little is not having any fun. When he sees me grab his pops out of the freezer he gets so excited! Not only do they help alleviate his teething pain but he gets to practice his reflexes by picking up the pop and taking it to his mouth. I always attach a pacifier leash to it and prop him up in his high chair while I cook dinner.

I use these silicone feeders. I like them so much I have two sets of them. They come with different sized nipples. They are dishwasher safe too! I love that they have lids.

The first time I used them I dumped breast milk into them and froze them. That was an epic fail. I had to run them under hot water to get the lids off. There are tiny holes in the nipple so when baby puts the feeder in his mouth he can squeeze out whatever you put inside. I did figure out an easier way to make a mom-sicle and you can read about that in a later post!

I like to put August’s homemade baby food in them or I will mash up avocados, bananas, and put them inside. The purees or mashed food has a thicker consistency that won’t leak out of the holes when you stick them in the freezer. I will be posting some homemade baby food recipes later in my blog that is perfect for these pops!

You can chop up fruit or veggies and put them in the nipples, but I prefer my mesh feeders for that.
