Oh My Hills

This morning was a bear getting out of the house. My 8 week old decided he needed more milk every-time I handed him to his dad. From 7:00 until around 9:00 a.m. he cluster fed. Once the baby was full and asleep I quickly got dressed in our dark bedroom for my run.

The temperature this morning was lovely but the humidity was on another level of gross. My entire body is still a little sore from starting back. I have always struggled with an all or nothing attitude and it gets me in trouble sometimes with exercise.

On the Swamp Rabbit Trail

Today’s run is my long run for the week. I decided this run should be 3 miles long. It was really hard to not beat myself up as I ran. 3 miles was an old warm up. Today it kicked my booty. There was walking involved, on the 2nd and 3rd mile. Instead of running the normal loop which mentally kills me, I went through a different neighborhood and got on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I absolutely love the trail. It connects the entire city together. I cannot wait until August is old enough to sit in a cart that will attach to my bike!

When I got home I made us a quick healthy lunch! I know that my legs will get stronger and my endurance will get better. That is why we train!
