Today I was pumped to go to the gym for a strength workout. All of my muscles are basic jello after having my baby. I actually care more about getting my muscle tone back than the number on the scale.
To many people get so hung up on what the scale says. You should focus on how you fit and feel in your clothes. I also love to measure progress but there are so many other ways to do this without obsessing over the scale.
- Measure your speed or distance in your cardio workouts
- Measure your waist and hips
- Have a pair of pants that you try on weekly
Just do not sabotage yourself with only using the scale!
By the time my husband got back from a meeting there was no time for me to make it to the gym and back before his next meeting 🙄
I have a set of dumbbells that go up to 8 lbs. I am going to ask for a bigger set for my birthday! I put the baby in his swing and I got in a quick workout and finished right before he woke up!
How do you measure your fitness progress?
Do you only use the scale?
